Caravan Rides

You asked, we listened! We've partnered with GET UP & RIDE to bring you a guided ride of six of Brooklyn Public Library's branches & the neighborhoods they serve.  help

This ride will feature two guides to help you navigate your way from the Central Library to the Park Slope Library, Red Hook Library, Brooklyn Heights Library, Clinton Hill Library & the Bedford Library while soaking in the communities they serve. Please note that riders registering for any of the Caravan Rides must be 16 years or older to participate.

    The verification code for Visa, Master Card, and Discover is a 3-digit number printed on the back of your card. It appears after the account number or last 4-digits of your account number, in the signature panel.

    The American Express verification code is a 4-digit number printed on the front of your card. It appears above and to the right of the embossed account number.

Waiver Statement:
I am a rider or the parent/guardian of a minor participating in Bike the Branches Participant and I acknowledge that I have been advised to wear an approved helmet while cycling. I am familiar with the proper use of the bicycle and I am aware that cycling activities involve many risks, dangers and hazards including, but not limited to: changing weather conditions; mechanical failure of the equipment; loss of balance; difficulty or inability to control one's speed and direction; variation or steepness in terrain; rapid or uncontrolled acceleration on hills and inclines; variation or changes in the cycling surface including holes or depressions in the roads; exposed rock, snow, ice, earth and other natural objects; collision with objects, pedestrians, vehicles or other cyclists; negligence of other participants.

I am aware of the risks, dangers and hazards associated with cycling activities and I freely accept and fully assume all such risks, dangers and hazards and the possibility of personal injury, death, property damage and loss resulting therefrom on behalf of the minor in my group.

I hereby agree as follows:
1. To waive any and all claims that I have or may in the future have against Brooklyn Public Library and its trustees, officers, employees or agents (all of whom are hereinafter collectively referred to as "The Releasees"), and to release the Releasees from any and all liability for any loss, damage, expense or injury including death that the minor in my group may suffer resulting from their participation in Bike the Branches due to any cause whatsoever.

2. To hold harmless and indemnify the Releasees from any and all liability for any damage to property of or personal injury to any third party, resulting from the minor's participation in Bike the Branches;

3. To release the use of any photos, slides, videotapes, etc. that might contain the undersigned for future use in promotional and/or informational activities as deemed appropriate by BPL;

4. This Agreement shall be effective and binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators and representatives, in the event of my death or incapacity;

5. This Agreement and any rights, duties and obligations as between the parties to this Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted solely in accordance with the laws of New York.
